Facts about Invisalign in Luton

If you could change one aspect of your appearance, what would it be? If your answer is that you would like to change your teeth, you’re not alone.

A dazzling smile can make for a positive first impression. Unfortunately, many people hide their smiles because of their imperfect teeth, which results in them being unfairly cast as unfriendly or unapproachable.

So how can you improve your crooked pearly whites? The answer’s straightforward: braces. Braces are straightening devices that move your teeth into a desirable position over time.

However, despite their multiple benefits, not everyone’s on board with metallic braces. One of the primary reasons for this is their appearance. For many, the idea of wearing metal affixed to their teeth for a prolonged period is far from ideal.

Which is how Invisalign in Luton came into being, providing an alternative straightening solution using a practically invisible device.

Our clinic, Vogue Dental Care, fully endorses Invisalign, having witnessed first-hand how it changes the smiles and lives of our patients. So if you don’t know what Invisalign is or are on the fence about committing to this orthodontic device, read on to learn about it before making your decision.

Why Invisalign in Luton?

An orthodontic patient invented Invisalign while wearing a retainer, thinking that the entire process of straightening teeth could be based around a retainer-like system.

Since its conception in 1997, Invisalign has ridden a wave of popularity for those wanting to realign their teeth. Why is this so?

Firstly, the custom-made retainers that Invisalign wearers receive are transparent, made from high-grade plastic that is virtually undetectable to the naked eye.

Secondly, the removable nature of this orthodontic appliance is another raved-about highlight, which lets the wearer remove the device to eat, brush their teeth, and play contact sports.

With the above in mind, you won’t have to worry about food getting stuck in your wires, nor have to re-adjust your teeth-cleaning ritual to remove grit from your braces, or suffer the consequences of a hard tackle to the mouth.

Am I a suitable candidate for Invisalign?

We’d have to take a look at your teeth first. Unfortunately, Invisalign isn’t right for everyone who passes through our doors.

If your case is particularly complex or unique, you might have to look at more suitable straightening aids. Fortunately, there are other subtle types of braces, such as lingual braces and conventional straightening aids that comprise porcelain brackets instead of metal ones.

How do I go about getting invisible braces?

Once we’ve consulted with you, we’ll devise a unique treatment plan, designed to move your teeth incrementally using top-shelf 3D imaging, which also offers you an accurate picture of what your teeth will look like post-treatment.

We’ll then supply you with multiple pairs of custom-made aligner trays which need to be replaced bi-monthly for optimal results.

You’ll have to wear these aligners for twelve to eighteen months. However, some Invisalign users wear their aids for as little as six weeks. It all depends upon the nature of your dental issue.
