Do you feel your smile could benefit from Invisalign in Luton?

Let us help you to shine

At Vogue Dental Care, we understand that we are living in unprecedented and rather stressful times, and we wish to extend all the kindness and support that is required of us to each of our patients. In light of the current global climate, we’ve noticed a considerable increase in the number of new patients who are turning to our practice for dental care as a means of preserving their oral wellbeing and ensuring they are as happy and healthy as they possibly can be. One treatment which we offer here at Vogue Dental, which has had an astoundingly positive reception amongst our patients for its transformative effect on their smile, is Invisalign in Luton. This is a relatively new, alternative method of orthodontic re-alignment which has been widely acclaimed for both its comfort as well as discreet nature.

What are ‘discreet orthodontics’?

Over the last decade or so, here at Vogue Dental we have witnessed a consistent and steady increase in the amount of our patients who are opting for discreet orthodontic options, such as Invisalign in Luton, rather than conventional methods. For anyone who is unsure, cosmetic orthodontics are an alternative to conventional, commonplace metallic braces which were vastly popular throughout the early stages of the 21st century. These metallic braces, whilst still available through dental practices such as our’s here at Vogue Dental Care, are not widely favoured because of the impact that they can have on how patients look, or how they are viewed by others. This is because they are bonded to the front of each individual tooth in a patient’s top and bottom sets of teeth, and as a result they are largely detectable. This lack of discretion in the treatment leads to more and more patients seeking out a cosmetic alternative which can effectively realign their teeth, without impacting on the way they look. These alternatives are commonly referred to as ‘discreet orthodontics’ and include some of the most innovative techniques available today, such as Invisalign in Luton.

What actually is Invisalign?

The Invisalign dental retainer system is a method of orthodontic alignment which does not require that anything be directly attached to either the front or backs of a patient’s teeth throughout treatment. Rather, the entire process of Invisalign hinges purely on a specially moulded dental retainer. This revolutionary re-establishment of orthodontic norms was initially launched in 2001 by Zia Chishti and since that time it has evolved into a worldwide phenomenon with over 6 million success stories attached. As mentioned, the fundamentals of the Invisalign retainer system are the plastic retainers. Each of these retainers has to be individually and uniquely created from a mould of the patient’s teeth – allowing it to fit perfectly around the contours of them. Within the interior structure of every unique set of Invisalign retainers there are specifically targeted pressure-points, which gently and progressively push the misaligned teeth into their correct shape when the retainer is worn. One of the main attractions to this system, and what sets it apart from almost every other method of dental realignment, is that the retainer is almost completely invisible when it is worn over the patient’s teeth as it is made of extremely thin, yet comfortable and durable dental plastic – thus, it is a form of ‘discreet orthodontics’.
